Shipping Policy

At Muse For Hair, we ship orders all around the world. We offer FREE shipping on all DIY Kit orders within Australia and the USA.

Free shipping means that we cover the shipping charges only. Duties, taxes, and brokerage fees from carriers for international orders are NOT included in your order amount at checkout.

If your shipping address is outside Australia, you may be required to pay customs fees to import your order. These fees are separate from the shipping cost. Please refer to the "International Taxes & Duties" section below for more information.

Shipping Times

All our products are shipped from Perth, Australia. Orders are shipped Monday to Friday. We do not pack orders on weekends or public holidays. All orders placed after 2pm AWST on Friday will be shipped the following Monday.

Once we have received your order, please allow up to 3 days for your order to be processed and dispatched, although we typically dispatch the same day wherever possible, Monday to Friday.

Please note that all estimated delivery times are calculated from the time of shipment, not from the time of order. Your local customs may hold your order while they process the shipment for taxes and duties collection if required. This can significantly impact shipping times.

Shipping Times During Sale Periods and Holidays

Sale periods, such as Black Friday or Cyber Monday, along with the Christmas period, may significantly affect delivery times. Shipping delays during these periods can be inconsistent and difficult to predict. We do our best to update shipping times on our website, however we cannot guarantee the accuracy of this information during busy periods.

Delivery Delays and Force Majeure

Muse For Hair is not responsible for delays in shipping or delivery due to events beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, carrier delays, pandemics, or customs delays. We will always do our best to notify you of any significant delays but are not liable for any losses or damages caused by such delays.

Fumigation or Certificate of Origin

For customers in Italy, Chile, Spain, Germany, and Hungary, your local Government Border Control may require you to provide a Fumigation Certificate or a Certificate of Origin to receive your order. These are documents produced by the governments of the country where a product is manufactured. If your government requests either of these documents, please get in touch with us and we will organise it for you. We are charged USD $90 for each of these documents and will pass the cost on to you. We do not add a margin to these charges. In most cases you will only need a Fumigation Certificate.

Tracking Your Order

Once your order is placed and payment has cleared, you will receive an email confirmation. Once your order has been fulfilled and dispatched, you will receive a second email containing your tracking number.

Please keep an eye on your tracking number, as once the order is with our postal service we can only see the same information available to you. If you have placed an international order, you can enter the same tracking number into your local postal service's website for more detailed tracking information.

Please allow 1 to 4 days for tracking information to appear. In some cases, you may receive your order before tracking details are updated. If there is an issue with your delivery, please contact the postal service directly, as there is often very little we can do once the package has left our hands.

Liability for Loss or Damage

Muse For Hair is not responsible for any loss or damage to packages during transit. We will assist you in working with the carrier to investigate lost or damaged packages, however the responsibility for following up with the postal service lies with the customer. If your package is marked as delivered but has not been received, please contact your local postal service.

International Taxes and Duties

At Muse For Hair, we ship international packages DDU (duties and taxes unpaid). This means that international customers may be responsible for paying inbound duties and taxes to their local customs authorities. In some cases, the courier may pay these fees in advance on your behalf to clear customs faster, and you may then be required to reimburse these fees prior to receiving your delivery.

The rate of these fees is determined by your country and we are unable to advise on the amount. This is standard practice for international purchases. Muse For Hair does not collect or benefit from these charges. If duties are not paid, the parcel will be held in customs and in most cases returned to us. In these cases, shipping fees are non-refundable and returned products may be subject to a restocking fee.

Wrong Address Disclaimer

Please ensure you enter the correct shipping address and the name of the person available to receive the order, as this is your responsibility.

If you make a mistake or your details change, please contact us immediately at support@museforhair.com and we will do our best to update your order. We cannot make any guarantees, as we process and ship orders as quickly as possible, but we will always try our best to assist you.

Please note that Muse For Hair is unable to provide a return shipping label or refund shipping fees for incorrectly addressed packages.

Delivered but Not Received

If your order has been marked as delivered but has not been received, please contact your local postal or courier service. Please also double check that the address provided to us at checkout was correct.

We cannot be held responsible for packages that have been marked as delivered to the correct address but have not been received.

International Shipping Restrictions

Muse For Hair complies with all international shipping regulations. We are unable to ship to countries with embargoes or restrictions that prevent us from delivering our products. Please review our list of restricted countries before placing an order:

Any orders flagged with fraud alerts will not be processed or shipped until all details have been verified. Muse For Hair has a fraud prevention system in place to protect all customers.
